Distinction to Christian Karembeu | Sport and Peace
 

The event on Sunday June 2 organized by two agencies of the World Organization for Peace ( OMPP ) , they are Peace and Sport World Cities for Peace , where different cities were declared and other nominated as World Capital of Peace . Were provided in that act , Worthy Ten Award and several awards of merit for outstanding sports authorities , culture , philanthropy , are handing the International veteran footballer , Christian Karembeu , the largest Merit Award for his extensive sports career and his spirit of the match by benefactor in La Paz , which is involved as volunteers alongside Zidane and other benevolent soccer and La Paz. The ceremony was held at the Historic Hotel La Paz, ( Hotel de la Paix ) in Geneva, Switzerland, in the Alabama hall where various international agreements will be agreed for Peace in 1800 , was treated in 1865 the completion of the slavery and various activities of the historic Court of International Arbitration .

The event also gave awards to blind athletes Champ Achilles Group, those who participate in marathons accompanied short, as an example of everything that sport can and stands for Peace.
Ambassadors and diplomats from embassies in Europe, Asia, America, Africa and UN representatives were present at the event, where the City of Djibouti was declared as International Capital of the Dialogue for Peace 2013/2015 and the City of Geneva's nominated as World Capital for Peace 2013/2015.

In the picture the president of the World Organization for Peace Carlos Peralta, with Secretary General of the agency OMPP, Sport and Peace, English football veteran Walter Palombo, Italo origin - Swiss, delivered the distinction of merit footballer international Christian Karembeu, for his great career at different stages in Italy, France, Spain, Real Madrid among others, always showing his caring spirit when requested by participating in the match for the benefit of famine and other charitable activities.
